Terms & Conditions

Effective — 2026

Important — Bookings are non-refundable. All bookings are final from the moment of payment. Your locker is exclusively reserved for the dates and times you select, even if you do not show up. Please double-check your details before confirming.

1. Scope and acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the automated luggage-storage service operated by SAS Bayeux.Locker (the "Operator", "we"), located at 40 Rue Saint-Patrice, 14400 Bayeux, France — SIREN 793 020 546 — under the trade name "Bayeux.Locker". By booking a locker through our website, on-site kiosk or any authorised channel, you (the "Customer") confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms in full.

2. The service

We provide short-term, self-service luggage storage in a dedicated, monitored facility accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Entry is granted exclusively by a personal PIN code linked to an active reservation. The premises are not staffed. We offer three locker sizes — M (40×60×50 cm), L (40×45×70 cm) and XL (40×90×70 cm). The Customer is responsible for choosing the appropriate size.

3. Booking and payment

Bookings may be made online or at our on-site touchscreen kiosk and become binding the moment payment is successfully processed.

3.1 Pricing

Locker prices are stated per hour and per day on our pricing page. A booking fee of €1.50 is added once per reservation at checkout. The most cost-effective rate (hourly or daily cap) is applied automatically based on duration.

3.2 Payment methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal through a secure payment provider under PCI-DSS Level 1 standards.

3.3 Confirmation

Upon payment you receive an email confirmation containing your unique PIN code, locker number, duration and a receipt.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Bookings are non-refundable. Once payment is confirmed, no refund — partial or full — will be issued, whether or not the Customer uses the locker. The moment you book, your locker is exclusively reserved for the entire chosen duration. By accepting these Terms, the Customer expressly waives the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal (article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code), as the service is performed on a specific date or period.

5. PIN code and access

Your PIN code is strictly personal, single-use per booking, and must not be shared. It is the only means of accessing our premises and your locker; you are responsible for keeping it confidential. If lost, you may retrieve it via your confirmation email or by contacting us; proof of identity may be required.

6. Duration and late pick-up

The booking duration is the period between the drop-off and pick-up times you select. You may reopen your locker as many times as you wish during your booking, at no extra charge. If you collect late, your locker stays locked and your belongings safe; a late fee of 50% of the applicable hourly rate applies per additional hour, payable before reopening. After 7 calendar days the contents are treated as abandoned (section 9).

7. Prohibited items

You may not store: live animals or perishable food; weapons, explosives, flammable, toxic or corrosive substances; illegal or stolen goods; cash, jewellery, precious metals or any item with declared value over €1,000; identity documents, passports, bank cards or irreplaceable documents; wet, strong-smelling or otherwise damaging items.

8. Liability and insurance

Each booking includes basic insurance coverage up to €1,000 per locker against theft or material damage directly attributable to a defect in our facility or a documented intrusion. This excludes prohibited items, damage from poor packaging or inherent fragility, indirect or commercial damages, and loss caused by failure to keep your PIN confidential. Claims must be made within 48 hours of the end of the booking with the reference, a description, a value estimate and, where applicable, a police report.

9. Abandoned items

Items not collected within 7 calendar days of the end of the booking are considered abandoned. We will make reasonable efforts to contact the Customer. Items are then kept for a further 30 days, after which they may be disposed of, donated or transferred to the local lost-and-found (Mairie de Bayeux), at our sole discretion, with no compensation due.

10. Personal data

We process personal data (name, email, phone, payment information) strictly to operate your booking, comply with legal obligations and provide support, in accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act. See our Privacy Policy.

11. Force majeure

The Operator shall not be liable for failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, power or telecommunications outages, government action, civil unrest or pandemic-related restrictions.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall, failing amicable resolution, be submitted to the courts of Caen (Calvados, France). In accordance with article L.616-1 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer may refer an unresolved dispute to a consumer mediator within one year of the initial written complaint.
